Territories Alive vevey 2026: A Living Cartography of Contemporary Experience
The collective exhibition Territories Alive brings together ten artists in Vevey whose practices explore territory beyond its geographical dimension. Through painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and hybrid artistic languages, the exhibition offers a reflection on the ways we inhabit the world and shape our relationship with memory, identity, landscape, and everyday experience.
In this exhibition, territory emerges as a living and ever-changing reality. It is not simply a physical place, but also an emotional, cultural, and symbolic space transformed by memories, movements, relationships, and personal experiences. Each artist contributes a unique perspective that broadens and enriches this notion.
The works of Boris Edwards explore human presence and everyday transformation; Dayamí Hayek and Federico Guerrero develop emotional and symbolic territories through abstraction; Luna Ribes turns portraiture into a space of expressive freedom; while Messe Bidias reflects on identity, migration, and cultural memory through a visual language rich in color and symbolism.
Meanwhile, Nina P. Velasco creates contemplative landscapes inspired by nature; Quentin Bossard explores human vulnerability and resilience; Rosi Weiss engages with memory and materiality through wood sculpture; Verónica Louba builds bridges between photography and ceramics to investigate identity and presence; and Honys Torres presents works from the Heidi POP series, reimagining the iconic character within a contemporary, diverse Switzerland shaped by migration and lived experience.
Together, these artistic practices create a geography in constant motion, where the intimate and the collective intersect. Territories Alive invites visitors to discover new forms of belonging and to understand territory as a shared experience activated through the encounter between artwork and viewer.
