pop expanded
Vevey 2026

More than a thematic exhibition, POP Expanded functions as an ecosystem of perspectives that reflects the complexity of our time. Here, POP emerges as an open tool for observing, questioning, and reinterpreting a reality saturated with images, expanding its boundaries toward new possibilities for creation and reflection.
The exhibition features works by Dayamí Hayek, Fer Sucre, Fico Love, Honys Torres, Linda Phillips T., Messe Bidias, Quentin Bossard, Rossi Weiss, Stéphane Nanga, and Yann Couëdel.
POP Expanded is a project conceived, developed, and directed by HT Kunstprojekt, a platform dedicated to fostering international artistic exchange, building cultural networks, and developing exhibition projects that connect diverse disciplines, contexts, and generations of contemporary artists.

International Group Exhibition
10 -24 October 2026

POP Expanded is grounded in a fundamental premise: POP can no longer be understood solely as an artistic movement associated with the second half of the twentieth century. Today, POP is a living, mutable, and global language that permeates everyday experience through images, screens, algorithms, social media, brands, objects, digital narratives, and collective memories.
Far removed from the traditional references of historical Pop Art, the exhibition proposes an expansion of its principles into the territories of contemporary visual culture. The participating artists explore how images circulate, transform, and acquire new meanings within a society shaped by the speed of information, hyperconnectivity, and the continuous production of visual content.
The exhibition brings together works spanning painting, sculpture, photography, video art, and digital media. From intimate approaches to social commentary, from technological processes to handcrafted practices, the works present multiple ways of interpreting the present through humor, irony, critique, identity, memory, and visual experimentation.
In POP Expanded, technological innovation and manual creation coexist without hierarchy. Artificial intelligence, digital media, and moving images enter into dialogue with painting, materiality, and craftsmanship, creating a space where tradition and contemporaneity complement rather than oppose one another.

Preservation and Open Access
At HT Kunstprojekt, exhibitions are conceived not only as temporary events but also as part of a broader cultural record. Documenting, preserving, and making artistic projects accessible over time is an essential aspect of our mission, ensuring that the creative contributions of participating artists remain available beyond the exhibition itself.
To support this commitment, POP Expanded Vevey 2026 is accompanied by a comprehensive documentation strategy that includes photographic records, exhibition materials, curatorial texts, and digital archives. These resources contribute to the long-term visibility of both the exhibition and its participants, creating a lasting record of this international artistic collaboration.
As part of this effort, selected documentation from POP Expanded Vevey 2026 will be published through Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata, two open-access platforms dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of cultural knowledge. By integrating the exhibition into these global resources, the project strengthens its accessibility, encourages future research, and contributes to the continued visibility of contemporary artistic practice.
